It wasn't till the 2019 Cummins (new CGI block) you started hearing about engine failures. What “engine failures” are you hearing/posting about? I have had my ‘24 Ram 2500 w/6.7 CTD six months only, and it Tows beautifully and I’m having zero problems even when temps dropped to 15F.
I have a 2025 RAM 2500 with the 6.7L Cummins engine and I want to make sure I use the right motor oil and I've always used Shell Rotella. I looked in the owner's manual and searched for the correct motor oil that meets the proper specifications. Shell Rotella 10w-30 T6 lists every spec except...
Hi Everyone, I got a lot of help from this forum - thank you all - so I've created an account and am posting this to give back. My vehicle is a 2022 RAM 2500 with the 6.7 Cummins Diesel. Like everyone who owns this truck, I seemed to get the dreaded "exhaust system regenerating, continue...
I have a new '22 Ram with the 6.7 Cummins with 13K miles on it. It has been in and out of the shop for the last few weeks for a check engine light. The code refers to regen issues. The mechanic says it is a regen issue and asked how I used the truck (like I needed to not use it too hard). He...

So I had a Gen4 cummins. Now I have a Gen5 6.7L cummins in my new 2500. So I see that the recommended oil is now either 10w-30, or 5w-40. The thing is I have a lot of the rotella 15w-40 oil in jugs still. Should I not use this in the summer season?
The **Cummins ISL 425 HP** (often the ISL9 or ISL 8.9L, depending on year) is generally a **strong, reliable engine**, but like any heavy-duty diesel, it has some known issues worth factoring in—especially at higher mileages.
