Coldest morning of the season for my yard in the Indiana Uplands this morning at 900' elevation (double the elevation of the towns along the Ohio River) at -18C (0F). The total snowfall for the season is 12.5'' so far.

Miami dropped to 48°F! A record daily minimum which was the earliest, coldest reading since 1950. I think this December will be the coldest since 2000. Currently, it's -9.3C and today should bring that to -9.6C or so, but the second half of the month should be milder, so this December will probably end up closer to 2017 than 2000.
There is still no real winter in Europe. Even Oslo, Moscow, Helsinki and Stockholm are quite warmer than average these days and without real winter weather.
